Deposit Return Systems (DRS)

An incentive system where consumers pay an additional charge on a reusable item such as glass bottles, packaging, tires or electronics, and are credited back when the item is returned for reuse or proper disposal. This prevents valuable resources or harmful waste from ending up in a landfill.
