Matthew started My Emissions to help food businesses better understand and reduce their emissions. With a background in start-ups and first-class Law degree from the University of Cambridge, he started from the perspective of how he could reduce his own emissions. Matthew quickly realized food was one of the best and most important ways to reduce emissions, but that data on food emissions wasn’t reaching brands or consumers. He’s now committed to finding simple solutions to unlock emissions data for food companies so they can properly report on and reduce emissions, and communicating this to consumers via simple carbon labels.
